Please know that if you think that you cannot afford a Doula, I can help you find ways that make it affordable for you. I can work on a sliding scale or payment plan for those in need.

I feel that every woman should have a Doula by their side and I will try to help in anyway that I can to make that possible.

A doula can reduce your chance of cesarean by up to 40%.

  •  Birth Doula Support begins a few weeks prior to birth. It consists of 2 home visits that last from 1 to 2 hours long. After 35 weeks along, I am on call 24/7, giving you the support you need. I will provide support for you during your entire labor at home and in the hospital (if you are having a hospital birth) up to about 2 hours after giving birth. I will also set up a home visit a week or two after the baby is born to see how things are going.

  • Childbirth Education Class: Some of the topics covered are:

    • The use of positions for pain management and progression of labor

    • Partner Support

    • Breathing techniques

    • Mindfulness

    • Stages of labor and delivery

    • Changes during pregnancy

    • Birth and postpartum plans

    • Nutrition

    • Newborn care

    • Breastfeeding

    • Car seat safety

    • Complex situations such as cesarean birth, inductions, pain relief medications, and VBACS

    • Home care for mom and baby after delivery

  • I can personalize your class and go around your busy schedules.

Breastfeeding Counseling: The first visit will be done in person so I can observe the mom and the baby.  There is a breastfeeding support group that is open to Nursing Moms and to those who are pregnant and wanting to breastfeeding after delivery.
